I like to pay attention to as much as possible. Obviously, I have blind spots and things I just can’t bring myself to care about, but I like to pretend to have a passing interest in sport. I like to know who the stars are, what teams are good, and which players are dating celebrities. Occasionally, this pays off. A story about sports comes along that is interesting to me because of my cursory knowledge. Jordan Hudson is exactly the kind of story I’m invested in. For those of you not from New England nor invested in Sports Gossip, you might not immediately recognize the name Jordan Hudson. Jordan Hudson is the 24-year-old girlfriend of former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and is poised to go on an all-time Diva Run.

Ever since Jordan Hudson arrived on Page Six, she’s been somewhat of a star. She’s a classic archetype of tabloid press, the young girlfriend of a much older man. It’s not enough for her to be just a girlfriend; she has also taken on the role of running Bill’s previously non-existent social media and light PR duties as well. Recently, she’s stirred up controversy by absolutely tanking an interview with CBS Sunday morning, allegedly getting banned from UNC’s campus, and coming in 3rd at the Miss Maine pageant. To me, that means she’s proving herself as not just a tabloid fixture, but a tabloid icon.
